February is Psychology Month – and just in time! February is a difficult month for many of us as we are deep into the winter season and feeling the effects of less daylight and frigid temperatures. Thankfully, there are options available to get us through the Winter Blues.

This month we will be focusing on the importance of psychology and massage therapy and how combining the two can make a wonderful team in getting you through the low points. Bell has just finished their “Let’s Talk Campaign”, raising over 6 million dollars for mental health initiatives, and we want to continue the momentum of stopping the stigma and promoting a healthy approach to mental health awareness.

We are bringing in guest bloggers this month to help us communicate the importance of caring for your body and mind. Topics of discussion will include depression, postpartum depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder and bipolar disorder.

Something else to look forward to this month is our spotlight promotion on Seasonal Affective Disorder and Light Therapy. This is the time of the year that we start longing for our beautiful summer, abundant with hours of glorious daylight. Although I cannot make the summer arrive earlier, I have several solutions to help you make it through February, so keep an eye out for the details.
